Everyone Has A Story: The Healing Power of The Arts

Many many years ago, when someone who was feeling unhappy, unfulfilled, or ‘ill’ went to see a Shaman, the first three questions the Shaman asked were: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop telling stories?”

These three art forms: Dancing, singing and story telling are but a few of the many healthy, creative ways humans have discovered to free the spirit and heal the soul (in other words: Relax and Unwind!!)

Bottom line:  Everybody has a story to tell. And the arts (whether it be visual, music, written or dramatic) help people to share their stories sometimes without even speaking a word! But the process of engaging in the arts helps us to RELEASE..and that feels GOOD!!

I encourage each and every one of you to somehow engage in something that lets you express yourself.  You will see positive results, I guarantee!
